Where to Vote in Annapolis on Nov. 4, 2025- and Who’s on the Ballot

Annapolis voters will head to the polls on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, for the City’s General Election. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at eight locations across the city, with secure drop boxes for mail-in ballots available at each site. Mail-in ballots must be deposited by 8 p.m. on Election Day. Voters must cast an in-person ballot at their assigned ward polling place unless using a provisional ballot.

Election Day hours and polling locations

  • Ward 1 – City Hall, 160 Duke of Gloucester St.

  • Ward 2 – Michael E. Busch Annapolis Library, 1410 West Street

  • Ward 3 – Mt. Olive Community Life Center, 2 Hicks Avenue

  • Ward 4 – American Legion Post #141, 1707 Forest Drive

  • Ward 5 – Roger “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center, 273 Hilltop Lane

  • Ward 6 – Eastport Community Center, 1014 President Street

  • Ward 7 – Eastport-Annapolis Neck Library, 269 Hillsmere Drive

  • Ward 8 – Eastport Volunteer Fire Hall, 914 Bay Ridge Avenue

Voting rules and drop boxes

Voters must go to their assigned polling place. In-person voting outside your ward is not permitted except by provisional ballot. Due to redistricting, some ward boundaries have changed; allow extra time to reach the correct site and confirm your ward using the online Ward Map. If returning a mail-in ballot, use any secure drop box—one is available at every polling location.

The following candidates will appear on the ballot for mayor and alderperson (by ward):

Ward 1: Harry Huntley(Democrat), Thomas Kriek(Unaffiliated)

Ward 2: Karma O’Neill(Democrat), Kenneth G. Vincent(Republican)

Ward 3: Keanuú Smith-Brown(Democrat), Michael Dye(Unaffiliated)

Ward 4: Janice Elaine Allsup-Johnson(Democrat)

Ward 5: Brooks Schandelmeier(Democrat), Jack Papaleonti(Republican)

Ward 6: Diesha Contee(Democrat), George M. Gallagher(Republican)

Ward 7: Robert Savidge(Democrat)

Ward 8: Frank Thorp(Democrat), Will Cunha(Unaffiliated)

Reporting of vote totals

On Election Night, in-person votes cast on November 4 will be reported on the City of Annapolis website. After polls close at 8 p.m., unofficial Election Day totals will be tabulated at City Hall. Poll watchers are welcome to observe the process as election judges report those figures.

Canvass and certification

Beginning Thursday, November 6, the Board of Supervisors of Elections will convene at the Anne Arundel County Board of Elections, 6740 Baymeadow Drive in Glen Burnie, to conduct the official canvass. Candidates and poll watchers may attend. The canvass will include:

  • Counting ballots from secure drop boxes

  • Counting verified provisional ballots

  • Counting mail-in ballots received to date

By law, mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day and received by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, will be included in the official totals. Once all eligible ballots are counted, the votes will be certified.
